Pacific poker has grown tremendously in player volume during the last year. It is one of the top eight sites when it comes to player volume. At peak hours there can be around 2200-2500 cash game players and 4500-5000 tournament players (figures as of March 2005, these have grown since then).
Pacific’s software quality is not as good as other online poker rooms, it isn’t possible to play at multiple tables and it’s very slow with disconnections at times. The games at Pacific Poker are first class however, which is the main reason to play there. The site is packed with loose and profitable games for the serious player. At the highest limit tables you can find games with 45-50 % of players seeing the flop. Behind Pacific is one of the largest online casino sites, Casino-on-Net, and many casino gamblers play on Pacific.
As with all online poker rooms most games on Pacific are Texas Hold’em games, although they also have Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo spread, there is probably more than 90% of the players at the Texas Hold’em tables.
Pacific’s rake is standard among other poker rooms in the industry and the support is good at answering emails. There is no live support and the telephone support has had complaints of being too slow.
Remember, you can win back some of the rake and increase your poker profits by using the rakeback option available. Why not boost your poker bonus and ensure you are getting the most out of your game.
People say that texas hold em poker can become an addiction. When addicted poker players will continue playing and betting, when they should stop. Many people have become involved and caught up in the popularity of texas hold em poker and poker games.
A small percentage of people will always get addicted to something, it is in their nature, and these are the people that need to be careful.
All in all Pacific Poker is recommended to any player looking for some of the loosest and softest poker games out there. Learn the advance of poker i.e. Mac Poker and win in Mac Poker Rooms.

Pacific Poker was established in 2002 and is located in Gibraltar. It features Texas hold’em and Omaha at a variety of different stakes and buy-ins. Pacific Poker is the poker arm of 888.com, an enormous online betting site that services the entire global gaming community.
888, Cassava Enterprises and Pacific Poker
888 Holdings is the owner of Cassava Enterprises, founded in 1997, which manages a number of different gambling websites including 888.com, Casino-on-Net and Pacific Poker. 888.com was founded in 1995 and covers Casino-on-Net for online casino action and Pacific Poker for online poker play. The relationship of Pacific Poker to Casino-on-Net is favorable to Pacific Poker because it tends to draw unskilled gamblers from the online casino to the online poker site.
888, Pacific Poker and U.S. Players
In the wake of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, 888.com divested all of its online gambling services from the U.S. As Pacific Poker is included under this umbrella, Pacific Poker no longer accepts U.S. players as of 2006.
Popularity of Pacific Poker
Pacific Poker is popular among players who are already registered with Casino-on-Net as well as players looking for loose, soft, high-action games. Pacific Poker is offering $75,000 worth of freerolls to the World Series of Poker for players who sign up for the site through Pokerlistings. The site features cash games and tournaments as well as a variety of game structures, no-limit,-pot limit and fixed-limit, with full ring games, shorthanded tables and heads-up play.

Pacific Poker is known for hosting the softest games on the Internet. For some reason, players there love to call and see flops with all types of holdings. If they then happen to get a draw – number of outs isn’t that important – they often take it all the way to the river.
Pacific Poker is also known for providing one of the industry’s slowest and ugliest pieces of poker software, which doesn’t even allow you to play on many tables simultaneously. But luckily, this has changed.
A while ago, Pacific Poker decided to upgrade the platform and today it looks a lot better than before, and more importantly, you can play against fish on many tables at the same time. At the same time, Pacific Poker opened its doors to the rakeback community, which is great for all serious poker players.
Today, it’s hard to find a better poker room.
If you’d like to know more about how to cash fish in the Pacific, I’ll provide many useful poker tips here on pacificpokerreview.net.
Good luck!
